At Butler Marine Insurance, we take pride in our skills of facilitating claims for our clients. If you have suffered a loss, please contact us as soon as possible. A list of information that is considered extremely helpful in the reporting process is as follows:
  • Date of loss
  • Location of loss
  • Detailed description of the incident
  • Current telephone numbers for the person who will be the primary claim contact
  • Were there any injuries? Please describe
  • Is there damage to the insured vessel? Please describe
  • Is there damage to any other boats or property as a result of the incident?
  • Were towing or salvage efforts required?
  • What is the current location of the vessel?
  • Is there a plan to move the vessel to a repair facility? If so, where?
  • Has an estimate or a ballpark of the repairs already been performed?
  • Names and contact information for any other parties involved in the loss and/or witnesses if applicable.
Once the loss has been reported to the insurance company, we will continue to monitor the claims process along with you. Although we do not have any authority to settle a claim, we are available and willing to act as a conduit for information between you and the insurance company adjuster if needed.
